Exploring with oil pastels. A bit more abstract than usual, oil pastels only allow me to work with more traditional Impressionistic techniques. Blending colors together and overlapping them is very limited with the oil pastels than with the regular (soft/hard) pastels I've been using lately. Lighter colors become transparent when applying it on top of darker ones. It also seems that the oil pastels are more permanent, making them harder to erase. So far, so good, this piece is coming along nicely.
