The Goeking Family Home Collection

A week before Thanksgiving, I completed a series of four oil paintings commissioned by a local retired doctor and his wife.  Over the Thanksgiving holiday, each painting was gifted to each of their four children to be cherished and treasured for years to come.

The Goeking Family Home Collection is what I call this short series.  A thoughtful gift by a couple who raised their four children in a home they had built years ago in St. Joseph, MO.  It is homes like these that are well cherished through memories, and what better way to treasure those fond memories than with a painting of a home one grew up in?  As children grow older and move on to start their own lives and families, these homes continue to become places to gather and reconnect the family.  Stories pass down from one generation to the next.  These paintings will one day do the same.

I was honored when the Goeking's approached me for this commission.  The series took a year to complete as it depicts the Goeking Family Home in each season; winter, spring, summer, and fall.  These paintings make a fine collection, and for anyone who well appreciates fine art.  As said before, they will be cherished and treasured for years to come.  Enjoy!
