This picture depicts one of the maintenance roads found in Monkey Mountain Conservation Area. A popular part of the bluff with many hunters because of the easy climb. This road runs below the Monkey Mountain bluff as it ribbons through the trees until you come along the side of the Nodaway River---which feeds into the Missouri. I used gray without any blue for a more natural look. Much of Missouri's landscape in late autumn is gray due to the thick brush and timber. These areas can be difficult to walk through especially along tree lines with briars and saplings growing too close to maneuver in.
