MVIS 4th Annual Juried Art Show---St. Louis, MO

It was a great time in St. Louis at the MVIS 4th Annual 'National' Juried Art Show. This year's event was held at the Portfolio Gallery and Education Center. Despite the stormy weather across the state, the closing reception brought in a good crowd with most of the artists traveling in from the Kansas City area. We are pleased to say quite a few paintings sold that night, almost immediately---I witnessed it. The most we've sold so far.

Often it's a challenge to find venues this far away, we appreciate the invitation Portfolio Gallery gave us to host our annual juried art show in this part of the region. I am really glad we got to do a show in St. Louis, MO. It's good to get away from the KC area every now and then. Offers like this support our mission, and exposes artists in a community where they may not otherwise.

Gallery Director, Robert Powell was very pleased with the quality of the work and the show overall. Everyone's work hung beautifully in his venue. He has requested and taken information from the participating artists for possible future exhibits.

I would like to thank Robert for inviting us to do a show in St. Louis. He and his staff did a wonderful job with the exhibit, the reception, and getting people to learn more about our group.

I also would like to thank Greg Gobberdiel for his time jurying all of the outstanding work. Greg did a great job explaining his choices during the award ceremony. From looking at the artwork, I'm sure it wasn't an easy task.
