Peonies in Progress

Getting back into the studio has been a long process due to school work, graduation, and holidays. After fridays art reception, I became more eager to get my hands dusty again.

On the right is the current drawing being worked on. It is a still-life pastel drawing of four peonies that my wife, Brooke, has requested. In this photo, the work is about 75% complete.

This could have been a Birthday gift for my wife back in November, then we thought a Christmas gift. Now we can consider it a Valentines gift.

I hope to complete it by sometime next week so I can work on other projects for this new year.
