Work in Progress

As I apply the effects of sunlight I am reminded of a quote by Post-Impressionist, Paul Cezanne. He once said, "I was very pleased with myself when I discovered that sunlight cannot be reproduced, but that it must be represented by something else---by color." Here, the color yellow is used to represent the effects of sunlight on the trees and shrubs. I use yellow on the stones as well, making them glow in evening sunlight. More blue and violet will be used for shadows along the stone wall.
