Work in Progress

This piece may or may not get done in time for my solo exhibit---it's progress is going slow. It is a 24x36 oil pastel on pastel board. The most time consuming will be the reflections in the water. Oil pastels are very detailed, they do not spread on to the surface as easily as the dry pastels. They also do not erase as easy as dry pastels, the oil base makes the pigment stick more permanent. Oil pastels also do not allow you to apply color on top of one another as well as the dryer form.
