Appreciating Life through Art

"To create the appearance of life
is more important than life itself.
The works of God are never better appreciated
than by other creators."

---annonymous hand on a page
of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks.

Artists create art through inspiration and with appreciation. The visuals found throughout our lives are the tools needed to create, just as sounds are used by musicians to develop song. We copy what we admire, and admiration comes with appreciation---the proof, the art itself. To create life on a canvas, or a piece of paper, requires skill. To enhance the skills takes time and practice. When we practice our skills, we copy what we see with the admiration of Gods creations---a respect for lifes visual elements. Art is a definite celebration of life.
