Work in Progress

Here is an underpainting of a piece in progress. Instead of wet brushing the pastel with water for the underpainting, I used terpentine. Terpentine tends to make the pastel greasier and keeps the colors vibrant, where water will dilute the pastel colors, making them lighter and weaker. This piece portrays one of several walking bridges found at the ponds in Loose Park.
