Work in Progress

With the underpainting dry, the first applications of pastel have been applied. Usually at this point, I play around with the colors and application process, trying to find the right effect. The sky and background are already complete. Right now I am working on the middleground, starting with the trees. Though my reference photo shows little sunlight, I will be adding strong amounts of it to keep the work from looking flat.
