Autumn Reflections

Here is another addition to my ongoing series---Krug Park Collection.  This little painting depicts the fall colors from across the Krug lagoon, the corner where the waterfall is located.  A reference photo I took a few years ago was used to capture the moment.  The shoreline looks much different now since it was rebuilt last year, not as rugged as it appears in the painting.  Some of those bright colored trees are no longer there as they had to be removed during the restoration.  I'm excited to see the restored waterfall when they get it running.  I'm sure many nice paintings will come out of it.

Progress Pics:  #1. Shapes and colors were blocked in with pastel, then brushed over with water to create a nice underpainting.  #2. Dry pastel was applied to the underpainting, creating some depth by making some trees to appear forward.  Shoreline added to distinguish the shore from the water.  #3. Detailing.  Adding leaves to trees, trunks of some trees, reflections and ripples in the water, and last but not least---the goose.

This little painting turned out beautifully, and will make a wonderful addition or a great start for anyone's collection at an affordable price.
All unframed art is available at 15% LESS than if framed.  This little treasure is only $170 unframed---limited time price.  SAVE $30 and get it before I have it custom framed.  It's $200 afterwards.
