Work in Progress

 



Here is the latest progress.  Shadows have been added on the lawn and mark the locations of the windows of City Hall.  Currently, I am adding the trees in the mid-ground, which hide portons of the building and the sky.  After awhile I will detail the building and the background. 

 

Instead of painting every single branch in the tree tops, I give an impression of twigs by applying a thin layer of light brown paint.  This way the background colors and images can be seen through just as it would in life.  I have to be careful not to apply it too thick.  None of the paint being applied is lean, it is kept fat to avoid cracking.
