Work in Progress

By using a limited palette, a painting can be completed fairly quickly.  Less details also help.  Here, I am blocking in my composition with only three colors; cobalt blue, cobalt violet, and titanium white.  While little linear perspective will be made, aerial perspective will be stronger in creating depth.  Creating depth is always key in my work, giving the viewer a feeling as though they are able to walk right into the painting.

This is an 18x24 oil painting depicting a street scene downtown St. Joseph, Missouri.
