Work in Progress
Here are some images of work currently being worked on. As the midwestern landscape has not yet recovered from our fluctuating winter weather, I get the chance to work on some still-lifes. This is an arrangement of peonies, books, and a coffee mug. It is a 19.5x25.5 pastel on paper. Below are the steps taken.

3. Work on the background. I always work on the background and work my way forward. In this photo I'm mixing colors to create a soft look. The background is not yet complete.
Once the background is finished I will work on the flowers, then the vace, books, and mug. The table will be last.
