Working on the 24x36 "Kansas City" piece. So far I have sketched the skyline and added pastel color, white for the sky, and violet for the ground. Once the two colors have been applied, I then wet brushed the areas with Turpentine covering the Pastelbord more thoroughly. I use Turpentine because water tends to dilute the colors too much for this particular piece. Wet brushing works wonders with soft effects and applying color. It also saves you from going through too many pastel sticks when trying to hide the surface you are working on.
