Yes, I added blue to the mix. I've decided not to go with light gray, instead mix some of the blue in with the violet to get a more appealing color. The blue really makes the work stand out. Basically all that is left to do now is work the effects of light playing throughout the work then go over any minor details.

As the pastel painting comes closer to a finish, I went ahead and started the final "Kansas City" piece using the same skyline. An 18x24 charcoal on Pastelbord. I've already added the composition, and filled the bord with black and white compressed charcoal. Next I will go over the image using the wet brushing technique in Tur-pentine.
