Back to studying oil painting techniques with a simple composition. My focus is on several things; color and color mixing, creating effects, and handling paint. I think getting used to the application and handling of the medium is more important at this stage in my oil painting experience. Experimenting with colors and mixing just come along for the ride---playing around here and there. With this piece I am happy with, I think it is coming along great--especially for only 1 hour of work. It is near complete.
