Work in Progress

With the Missouri winter so mild this year, there really hasn't been any snowy inspiration. Digging through my reference photos, I found this image taken a couple of years ago on the grounds of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art here in Kansas City. Believe it or not, some of my fellow impressionist are actually waiting for a good snow day. Wanting to get out and paint the wintery scenes despite the cold. In the near future, this is something I'm willing to tackle in oil. For now, I continue in the studio.

Already mostly complete, the foreground is all that is left to do---filling in shadows, grass and snow.
