Work in Progress

Another scene from the tops of Monkey Mountain Conservation Area is in progress. This one portrays the same maintenance road as it starts to go down the bluff. The evergreen tree line is on top of a ridge that drops off about 25 feet into a large abandoned rock quarry. When deer hunting, we sometimes sit on top of that ridge overlooking the area beneath, which is about the size of two football fields. I harvested a nice size doe from this quarry. In the second picture you'll notice that I am using the exact same color palette as my previous painting -- the reference photo was taken the same day with an overcast of cloud cover. I think this piece shows a good perspective, both aerial and linear.
